RPS offers extra-curricular activities to pupils throughout the year. Activities are conducted by staff as well as quality external providers. Pupils will be able to avail of at least one after school activity offered by staff free of charge. The school will ensure a breadth of choice between academic, sport, art and pastoral activities. The school will actively promote attendance in at least one activity for each pupil during the year.
Activities will be determined in relation to identified pupil interest, provision for interest areas not covered through the school curriculum and in connection to the wider community such as sporting competitions. Examples of expected activities include a school council, pupil news team, academic workshops in core subjects including Arabic, environmental groups, choir, school play production and design, cooking, IT, dance and sports such as netball, football, swimming, cricket and cross country athletics.
